Calcite Powder is a naturally occurring form of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) with an extremely high degree of whiteness, purity. This powder is stiff and free-flowing in nature.Our Calcite Powder can be used as mineral fillers to obtain high humidity retention. It can also be used to improve the dryness and consistency of the final mass product obtained.
Calcite Powder is extensively utilized as a filler in the manufacturing of plastics owing to its low oil absorption, high dispensability, smooth surface finish, high impact resistance, easy processing, unmatched dimensional stability, and its compatibility with other complex polymers and organic additives.
The calcite powder we provide helps in improving the cleaning action of detergents and soaps due to the presence of sufficient grade of abrasiveness. Along with this, the added Calcite Powder does not alter the physical or chemical properties of soap products or the viscosity of the entire mixture.Calcite Powder is also extensively used in the manufacturing and processing of various paints, which provide a greater covering strength to the paint. Calcite also helps to increase the performance and quality of high-end paints, oil-based synthetics and other coatings. The stark white colour of our calcite prevents any interference with the paint’s innate colours, and contributes to the paint’s opacity, while not adversely affecting the viscosity of the paint. This makes the paint drip-proof, and more cohesive to its applied surfaces.
Coated Calcite Powder : We also provide a protective coating of Stearic Acid on our Calcite Powder. The Coated Calcite Powder is used in the manufacture of plastic compounds to prevent the collection of moisture.

Uses of Calcite Powder
Oil Exploration/ Oil :ized and grounded Calcite Powder is used to increase the mud density in oil rigs and is preferred over using barite as it is soluble in mineral acids, especially hydrochloric acid (HCl), and is used to clean up production zones.
It is primarily used as a bridging material in drilling operations, workover fluids and completions. Specially sized calcite particles, along with polymers, are used to control and reduce fluid loss in brines and drill-ins, workover fluids and completions.
Rigid PVC Pipes : PVC is a highly versatile polymer, which is recommended for a variety of pipe applications, from large-scale sewer piping systems, smaller residential drain-waste piping vents, to even smaller filtered water piping systems and also electrical conduits.
Our surface-treated calcite powder is designed to give an excellent dispersion, along with sufficient incorporation in the polymer matrix, for maximum formulation flexibility and property development.
Calcite Powder also improves on the base properties of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) by making the polymer matrix more stiff and improves its impact resistance by making the particle sizes smaller.
Paints, Inks, Ceramic, and Powder Coating : For paints and ink, Calcite is used in manufacturing and processing them. It is also used as a powder coat material for finished products and ceramic objects.
Welding Rods : Calcite Powder is used as a filler for welding rods and blowtorches.
Rubber Industry : Specially formulated Calcite Powder is used in the production of natural and synthetic rubbers. It helps maintain the innate flexibility of the rubber compounds and helps increase its resistance to torsional erosion and traction, thus vastly improving their mechanical and electrical properties.
Calcite Powder also diminishes the ageing of rubber and reduces material fatigue. It does not change the external aspect of the rubber product and greatly reduces its susceptibility to heat and ruptures.
Textile Goods : Calcite is used in marking and sizing cloth by small-scale manufacturers.
Glass Industry : Calcite Powder is used as a flux for manufacturing glass.
